Chad Moses: Executive Head
Chad joined Reddam House Umhlanga as Executive Head at the start of 2025. The impact of his dynamic leadership has been felt throughout our school community. Chad has successfully merged a commitment to academic excellence with a philosophy of holistic student development, creating an environment where both students and staff continue to thrive.
Since his arrival, Chad has been instrumental in fostering an environment of curiosity, resilience, and compassionate leadership. His extensive experience, gained from leading other respected South African schools, has provided a strong foundation for implementing global perspectives and evidence-based strategies across the campus.
His leadership philosophy, which views education as a calling, emphasises nurturing well-rounded individuals.
Shelley Peringuey: Head of College
Shelley's leadership philosophy is rooted in collaboration, respect, kindness, and integrity. She firmly believes that education has the power to transform lives, and her vision for Reddam House Umhlanga is to create a supportive and inclusive environment where every student feels empowered and inspired to achieve their personal best.
With over 25 years of experience in teaching and leadership roles, Shelley has dedicated her career to fostering environments of trust and professional growth. She officially stepped into the permanent role of College Head in February 2025. As a passionate English teacher and an experienced Senior Sub-Examiner for the Independent Examinations Board (IEB), Shelley has co-authored textbooks, which keeps her closely connected to the core of classroom education.
Raymond Brent: Head of Preparatory School
Raymond believes in a holistic approach to education, where a student's journey extends beyond the classroom. From overseeing daily routines to championing community service and extracurricular life, every aspect of school life is designed to help students develop character, skills, and a passion for excellence.
As a proud member of the Reddam House Umhlanga community for many years, serving in various leadership capacities, including Deputy Headmaster: Operations, Raymond is also a dedicated Commerce teacher (Business Studies) and an IEB Examination Marker.
Before commencing his tenure at Reddam House Umhlanga, he gained valuable experience at St Henry's Marist College, where he held roles as Phase Head, Grade Head, and Sports Master. This diverse background in academics, student welfare, and sport has provided him with a strong foundation to lead the Preparatory School with dedication, innovation, and care for both students and staff.
Nicky Cummings: Head of our Early Learning School
Mrs. Nicky Cummings is an experienced, enthusiastic, dedicated, and compassionate Head of the Early Learning School (ELS) at Reddam House Umhlanga. A founding staff member of the institution (previously Umhlanga College), she has been an integral part of the school community since January 2002.
Nicky is deeply passionate about creating a safe, nurturing environment that enables young children to fulfill their maximum potential. Her leadership in the ELS is informed by the internationally recognised Reggio Emilia approach, which regards children (ages 1 to 6) as competent, capable, and full of innate abilities.
Before joining Reddam House Umhlanga, Nicky gained valuable experience teaching internationally. This diverse background contributes to the dynamic, vibrant, and inspiring educational approach she brings to the school, ensuring the curriculum is based on the best international practice.
Nicky's commitment extends beyond her professional role; she is also a proud Reddam House Umhlanga parent, with both of her sons having attended and matriculated from the school. This unique perspective as both an educator and a parent underscores her loyalty and deep understanding of the school's ethos and culture.
Ravi Nadasen, Chief Executive Officer, South Africa
Before joining Inspired, Ravi worked as Chief Operating Officer at Tsogo Sun Hotels, Africa’s leading hotel group. His tertiary education started at the Durban University of Technology (then ML Sultan Technikon) where he obtained a National Diploma in Hotel Management. Some years later he obtained his BTech Management at the University and concurrently completed the Advanced Business Programme. More recently in 2018, he obtained his MBA from the University of Stellenbosch. He was also fortunate to attend IMD (Institute for Management Development) in Switzerland for two eight-week blocks, where he did a leadership programme.
He has been and is very active in tourism bodies, having been on the board of Cape Town Tourism and a board member of the CT Chamber of Commerce while in Cape Town. He is currently the interim Chairperson of South African Tourism, the Deputy Chairperson and board member of the Tourism Business Council of SA. He was reappointed by the Minister of Tourism for a second term as a member of the B-BBEE Charter Council to advise on the state of transformation in the industry.
Nadim M Nsouli, Founder & CEO, Inspired Education Group
Nadim M Nsouli founded Inspired in 2013 with the goal of creating a leading global group of premium schools. Starting with Inspired’s first acquisition of Reddam House, a leading group of schools in South Africa, Nadim rapidly expanded the group globally via a series of acquisitions and building greenfield schools while maintaining the focus on only having the best schools around the world as part of the group.
Prior to founding Inspired, Nadim was a partner at Providence Equity Partners, a private equity firm with $40 billion under management. Nadim was also a member of Providence's Global Investment Committee and led Providence's Education investment efforts in Europe and the Middle East. Prior to joining Providence in 2006, Nadim was the European head of The Gores Group, a special situations private equity fund based in Los Angeles. Previously, Nadim was a member of the media and telecommunications investment banking teams of Morgan Stanley and J.P. Morgan in London. Nadim started his career in New York as a corporate lawyer at Jones, Day, Reavis & Pogue.
Nadim received a Master of Business Administration from INSEAD with distinction, a Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law and a Bachelor of Science (magna cum laude) from Georgetown University.
